Additional charges can be added for delivery and collection. This will be clearly laid out in the rental agreement at the time of booking.
Payment shall consist of the full amount before the booking is confirmed and is taken as confirmation of the rental agreement.
No deposit is taken against any possible breakages prior to delivery. Wear and tear of vintage items is understandable however, charges may apply where items are missing or have endured accidental damage through use.
-
09 - Cancellation Policy
Notice to cancel the rental agreement must be made in writing or by e-mail to the company prior to the event. If notice is received up to 28 days before the event, then the customer can have a refund of all monies paid. However, if the booking is cancelled within 28 days of the delivery date, then no refund will be given and any outstanding balance must be paid.
-
10 - Delivery and Collection
Following receipt of payment, the Company shall deliver the deckchairs to the agreed address on the date as set out in the rental agreement. The company shall endeavour to deliver the deckchairs to ensure that delivery is made on time however shall not be liable for failure to do so if circumstances are out of our control.
The customer or an authorised person, agreed beforehand, should be available on the date agreed in the rental agreement to take receipt of the deck chairs and to sign for the delivery. If the customer is not available at the time of delivery, the customer shall be liable for all charges should the delivery need to be re-arranged. Should the company be unable to deliver the deckchairs, the cancellation policy shall apply.
On delivery, a declaration is signed stating that the deckchairs have been delivered in good condition. If there are any issues at the time of delivery such as damaged or missing deckchairs then the delivery driver must be advised before signing the document. You are also welcome to contact Decked Out as well. If the customer does not report any issues and accepts the delivery of the chairs then the customer is accepting responsibility for the condition and amount of chairs for the duration of the rental period. If you are in any way unhappy with the deckchairs then delivery must not be accepted.
All deliveries and collections are handled by third-party couriers. They are delivered on pallets of up to 50 deckchairs using a tail lift to kerbside locations only. Delivery and collection must be organised to addresses that are accessible for a large wagon with a tail lift and where there is appropriate accessibility to move the pallets. Please note that pallets cannot be moved over rough terrain e.g. grass, gravel, or up or down stairs.
On your agreed delivery and collection dates, the delivery or collection can take place anytime between 8 am - 6 pm. Unfortunately more exact timeslots cannot be supplied until the day of delivery or collection. Please provide a mobile number on booking if you would prefer an approximate timeslot to be supplied by the courier on the day.
Organised delivery and collection supplied by third-party couriers do not include unpacking pallets, packing pallets, or transporting any individual deckchairs or components. This is the responsibility of those renting the chairs. For your safety, we recommended a minimum of two people to unpack or pack any pallet.
On the collection date agreed in the rental agreement, the customer shall ensure the deck chairs are available for collection. In the event that on the day agreed, the deckchairs are not available for collection, then the customer will be charged the daily rate for the deckchairs until they are returned to the company at the customer’s expense. Any deckchairs not returned by the customer will incur the cost of replacing the deckchairs.
For collection, the deck chairs need to be folded down and stacked into two equal piles facing opposite directions on the pallet. There should be no more than a total of 50 chairs (2 piles of 25) per pallet. Fit the tarpaulin over the deckchairs and secure them to the pallet with the ratchet straps, in the same way, they were delivered. If the deckchairs are not stacked back on the pallet in the same way they were received we will need to charge £60.00.
In preparation for collection, make sure that the pallets are in the same location where they were delivered, are kerbside on hard-standing ground, and are accessible for a pump truck. If the driver cannot properly access the collection or you are not ready for collection at the allotted time then charges for any delays, waiting, and/or loading time will apply.
Once fully collected, the responsibility for the deck chairs and equipment is with the courier.

Making a booking could not be easier. Just browse this website to see the product offering, and click the ‘make an enquiry’ button to be directed to our form. After you have submitted all the details in the enquiry form, you will receive an e-mail from the company acknowledging that we have received your enquiry. Please note that this does not mean that your booking has been accepted or that your date has been reserved.
Within a few days, you should receive confirmation of stock availability, answers to any queries, and a quote or an invoice to accept. You may send your payment information via phone or over the internet, as preferred.
Once the rental agreement has been accepted and the invoice has been paid, the contract has been formed. From here, the customer will be booked in and assigned a courier date for delivery using the delivery and collection details supplied. Make sure the details are correct as the company is not liable for any inaccuracies in the booking details supplied.
The rental period and cost shall be laid out in detail on the invoice. This shall include but is not exclusive to the cost of hiring the deckchairs, any delivery charges incurred, the rental period, the address for delivery and collection, and the customer’s name and contact number.
The rental period and quantity can be extended following any signing of the rental agreement, but a new rental agreement must be signed before the event, in agreement with the company who will inform you of any additional charges. If this is not carried out, you will be liable for all charges incurred by the company to recover the deckchairs in accordance with the original rental agreement.
The customer is responsible to ensure all safety measures are in place over the rental period as required.
The customer takes full responsibility for the deckchairs over the rental period. On completion of delivery and on loading the chairs for collection, please check and make sure you are happy with the deckchairs to avoid any charges for missing items or items broken in transit. This includes items for packing e.g. ratchet straps and tarpaulin as well as the deckchairs.
-
12 - Care of Rental Items
The customer may only use the deckchairs for the normal purpose for which they are intended.
The deckchairs must not be used in an improper manner and must not be altered or amended in any way, including attaching anything to the deckchair by means of screws, nails, or adhesive fixings.
In the event of breakage, the customer should not attempt to make any repairs to the deckchair. Any damage to the deckchairs should instead be reported to the company at the earliest opportunity, preferably before collection.
During the rental period, the customer is liable for the safe storage and keeping of the deckchairs including protection from weather damage.
-
13 - Damages, Breakages, and Missing Items
Each and every one of the deckchairs is individual and unique. All of the deckchairs and vintage have been fully restored and made safe to use. However, you may find that they have signs of wear and repair which adds to their individuality and history as heritage chairs. They are checked each time they are loaded for delivery so that they are ready and suitable for your event.
Upon delivery, ensure you have checked the deckchairs, pallets, ratchets, and tarpaulin for missing items and damage as mentioned in ‘10. Delivery and Collection’. If you accept the delivery, you accept the responsibility for any damages or missing items that occurred in transit.
The customer should insure against loss, damage, and theft as the company is not liable for loss, damage, or theft of the deckchairs from the start of the rental period until the end of the rental period as laid out in the rental agreement.
At the end of the rental period, the deckchairs will be delivered back to us and inspected for damage. If the deck chairs are found to be damaged to an extent that wear and tear cannot be to blame in terms of quantity damaged and the state of damage then the customer will need to cover the cost of replacing the damaged deckchairs.
At the end of the rental period, the deckchairs, accessories, rachet straps and tarpaulin will be counted to ensure that there are no missing items. If there are found to be missing items, the customer will be liable for replacement charges.
Any deck chair that has been lost, stolen, or damaged will be charged at the rate of £55.00 per chair. All monies due for damages or missing items should be paid within a 7-day period.
-
14 - Insurance and Safety
For your safety, we recommend you follow our advice as laid out below.
- We recommend a two-person minimum for unpacking the pallets.
- To unpack, start by undoing the ratchet straps and removing the tarpaulin. Keep these items safe as they will be needed for the collection and are subject to charges if lost.
- Please be careful when setting up the deckchairs to avoid trapping your fingers. When carrying them, it is best to hold them by the top so the arm doesn’t fall down and injure you.
- It is best to carry no more than three deckchairs at a time.
- Please make sure the deckchairs are clipped in place so they don’t collapse when you are preparing them for collection.
For your peace of mind, Decked Out is insured appropriately. However, it is recommended that the event organiser purchases public liability insurance and insurance for loss, theft, breakages, and damages, as you will be responsible and liable whilst the hiring of deck chairs is taking place. Please see our Terms and Conditions for more information.
-
15 - Liability
The customer is fully responsible and liable for any loss, theft, or damage to the deck chairs, accessories, equipment, venue, and other items at the event and should be appropriately insured against all possible damage, loss, and theft during the event and rental period.
The customer is fully responsible and liable for any injuries involving the deck chairs, pallets, accessories, and equipment. The customer should be insured against all possible accidents and injuries. The company is not responsible or liable for any accidents or injuries resulting from the general use, misuse, set up, or takedown of the deckchairs nor are they liable for any incident involving the deckchairs.
The company shall not be liable to the customer for any failure to perform or deemed to be in breach of the contract of its obligations due to any circumstances beyond its control. In such event, the company may elect by written notice to cancel any agreement with the customer, or elect that the time for performance shall be extended until such time as the company can reasonably affect performance.
The company shall also not be liable for any other loss or damage which arises out of circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
